Help us celebrate Rachel & Jim's marriage with a donation to the MetroWest Free Medical Program!
About the MetroWest Free Medical Program:
Each Tuesday evening, Congregation Beth El hosts dozens of volunteers who offer free health care services to our neighbors in need. Licensed physicians, nurses, social workers, and other volunteers transform the Beth El sanctuary into a free medical program, offering general medical and specialty care to more than 1500 residents of MetroWest who lack health insurance, each year.
Now, more than ever there are many people, including immigrants, who do not have medical insurance and cannot access care through a regular doctor or hospital. With recent cuts to the Medicaid program and changes at local hospitals, the MW Free Medical Program has seen a record numbers of patients in 2017, from people who have nowhere else to turn.
Jim is a regular volunteer at the MetroWest Free Medical Program (MWFMP), so we have chosen to direct gifts to this organization as we celebrate our new life together. The Talmud teaches that if one saves a single human life, it is as if one has saved a whole world.
Any donations to MWFMP will be greatly appreciated! Thank you for sharing in our joy and our commitment to this important cause!
